Introducing Charlie Darling

Welcome Charlie Darling to Juniper Tattoo Co.

We’re so excited to announce that @charliedarling_tattoo will be joining the Juniper Tattoo Co. team this November!

Charlie is a lifelong multimedia artist with a devotion to creative work that began in early childhood, and has evolved into a full-time artistic career. Her journey into tattooing was guided by hard work, perseverance, curiosity, and a deep respect for the craft.

“With an enduring passion for art that has shaped my life since childhood, I’ve devoted myself fully to the craft of tattooing. I always knew art would be more than a hobby — it’s a calling that demands dedication, precision, and heart. After managing a busy walk-in tattoo shop for two years, I pursued a rigorous two-year traditional apprenticeship, refining my technical skills and deepening my understanding of the industry. I later graduated from an Oregon-licensed tattoo school, completing more than double the state’s required hours and procedures. Now entering my third year as a licensed tattooer, I continue to build a practice rooted in excellence, professionalism, and respect for this timeless art form.”

Specializing in neo-traditional and Americana-inspired tattoos, Charlie’s work is defined by clean lines, rich color palettes, and an appreciation for both the history and evolution of tattooing. Her portfolio also includes fine line, illustrative black & grey, and bold color pieces — all designed with composition and longevity in mind.

Charlie describes her tattoo approach as both artistic and personal:

“I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and professional environment for every client. My goal is to create work that feels timeless yet personal — a blend of traditional charm and modern artistry that honors the history of tattooing while celebrating the individuality of those who wear it.”

Outside of tattooing, Charlie finds inspiration in nature and traditional craftwork: hand painting flash, hiking, crafting botanical watercolors, and carving block prints. This creative spirit extends into her small business, Hellebore Press, where she hand-makes pigments, paints, and wood block prints. You can explore more of her work there at @hellebore.press.

Charlie will be releasing new flash designs each month, and we can’t wait to showcase her next set at an upcoming flash event.

Be sure to check out Charlie’s website and subscribe to her monthly newsletter.

We’re so thrilled to welcome Charlie to the Juniper Tattoo Co. family. Her multi-faceted artistry, hunger for knowledge, and love for the art form make her an incredible addition to the team.

Welcome to the team, Charlie! We’re so glad you’re here.
